Kamala Devi - 65 year old vegetable seller

Kamala Devi, a 65-year-old vegetable seller, struggled to make ends meet with her small stall in a local market. Limited capital meant she could only sell a few items each day. However, after receiving a small support of ₹8,000 from Ujjwal Savings Foundation, Kamala expanded her stock, offering more variety and fresh produce. Her sales increased, and she soon paid back the support. Rati Ram - Grocery Shop Owner

Rati Ram Kumar, a small grocery shop owner in a JJ Cluster area, struggled to expand his business due to limited funds. His shop offered only a few basic items, and his sales were stagnant. After receiving a small support of ₹25,000 from Ujjwal Savings Foundation, Rati Ram was able to stock a wider range of products, attracting more customers. Rani 22 Years - Ladies Tailor

Rani, a 22-year-old woman from economically weaker section , had always dreamed of starting her own tailoring business but lacked the funds to buy sewing machines and materials. When she learned about Ujjwal Savings Foundation’s small support program, she applied and received ₹12,000 to kickstart her venture. With the support, Rani purchased sewing machines and fabrics, and soon began stitching clothes for local customers. Her business flourished, and she was able to repay the support within months. “This support has turned my dream into reality,” Rani says, now financially independent and proud of her thriving tailoring work.

Pooran Singh - e-Rickshaw driver

Pooran Singh, a 28-year-old man with a disability, struggled to earn a living. Unable to do manual labor, he dreamt of owning an e-rickshaw to provide transportation services. With limited savings, Pooran approached Ujjwal Savings Foundation for a small support. The foundation approved a support of ₹55,000, allowing Pooran to purchase a second hand e-rickshaw. Soon, he began offering rides to locals, earning a steady income. "This support has given me a new life," Pooran says gratefully. Today, he is financially independent, supporting his family and gaining respect in his community.
